Yarrow

Look closely and you can see that the tiny yarrow flower is made up of many more tiny flowers. This Pacific Northwest native plant has been used in a wide variety of medicinal preparations by many native American people. I created this painting with the help of macro photos I took of yarrow flowers growing in the native plant section of my garden. It's wonderful to be connected through time and space to other people in different times through this lovely little flower.
