Purple Heart

Purple Heart by Pamela Palma Designs asks you to consider the cost of war, the price paid by veterans and those who face combat. Can their suffering be measured in dollars? Purple Heart is hand woven, a mixed media work of conceptual art. Purple Heart is comprised of layers of materials interwoven in the weaving process. Paper and money ($100 dollar bills) comprise the central portion of the work, surrounded by my own hand dyed colorful yarns and borderd by strong black bands. The artwork is supplied with hanging mechanisms ready to be a statement on your wall.
