When I moved to a new home, I was enchanted by a rose bush outside the building with glowing, delicate flowers. I thought to myself it would make a beautiful painting, but before I could, cold weather came and the bush went dormant. Through all those months of cold and dreariness, the thought of seeing the roses again in the summer made me smile.

When the roses came again, I wasted no time in painting them. I felt so free as I attempted to capture how delicate and vibrant these flowers were. This larger than life painting is filled with subtle color and fun texture.
