What the Hell Just Happened

This piece is a response to the pandemic. The dead bodies are drawn from photographs of dead American civil war soldiers. I mean to parallel another time in our history where we were both divided politically and lost a staggering number of people in a very short period of time. This mixed media piece includes several layers of transparent Japanese paper with drawings in India ink then infused and adhered with beeswax and and finally oil paint.
