This is a painting that has changed shape and meaning over four years. It began as a piece inspired by Young Il-Ahn, depicting my own experience temporarily stranded in the middle of the Atlantic. Over years, I have added layers of paint with controlled drips in different directions, reflecting my experiences with depression and the process of healing.
