SENSATIONALISM
30" x 48"
Acrylic, mixed media, repurposed cardboard, ephemera, newsprint
SENSATIONALISM examines our love and addiction towards all forms of media. We are socially connected, yet disconnected, with instant accessibility in the fast pace of technology.. We express love with such mediums. Living amongst Twitter, YouTube, or other platforms with constant subliminal advertising.. all forms of media become sensationalized propaganda to serve targeted interests. Are we becoming brainwashed? Do we need to be validated, loved, and heard? The narrative brings to light the conditioning and influence of media and its inherent advertisements.
