Pounding Surf (Memories of Florence)

The photograph that was the inspiration for this painting was taken just after Hurricane Florence. Even though the storm had passed by and the sky was clearing, the surf was very loud and the waves were come in fast succession. While the hurricane caused a lot of flooding and devastation, the beauty of the coastline remains.
