About eight years ago I left NY to come to California to change my life and take some direction. I am originally from NY and always have gravitated towards cities in general hence the buildings in this one. It was the best decision I’ve ever made for myself and although it was the scariest, It forever changed my trajectory.

The building on my shoulder on the left side represents a piece of NY that came with me and quite frankly, will always be with me… it’s like engrained in my DNA from the culture, vernacular, style, etc. the other building on the left is a piece of my that stands tall and remains in NY.

The building on the right conveyed slightly different represents my new home, California. It took many years for me to feel like its home but I can confidently say… that time has come. Home sweet home.

The rest was derived from a core idea mixed with different inspiration from Basquiat and some colors I’ve been seeing in my mind when out and about or in the middle of doing something. I wanted to battle how I always think it needs certain elements or certain things in it based on how I think it should look but the reality is, this is art and I can dictate whatever I want based on whatever I want and I love that for me.

I also love that for you and for all 🤣
