Attention Seeking
This one I use the new approach again and am happier with the outcome. I wanted this to convey a situation from my teens and how I see myself in that situation looking back.
When I was 16 I wanted to fit in, wanted to feel apart of, wanted to know what was up and what was down. The left hand is my trying to get my parents attention, the hand how it is for dramatics the way I see it in that moment and the right hand holding a balloon to as an symbol for the drugs my dad found and flushed down the toilet at my first attempt to sell drugs.
I did this solely to try to seek approval from a friend and thought it was the thing to do with the town I grew up in and how things were. With all the self work I’ve done the last 7-8 years, I can now see that for what it was. A cry for help, I didn’t know how to communicate, I didn’t know who I was, I didn’t know anything about myself so I took action. That action and similar experiences throughout my life has lead me to be the man I am today and I’m very grateful for that.
