I am inspired by the beauty of nature, animals and their colors.

I am passionate about creating through colors to create a positive impact on people because I believe that they help us improve our mood and our day to day life.
It is a very visual work with a different and attractive format.

This is an interactive and co-creation project where I ask my instagram community which animal to draw with the corresponding letter of the Spanish alphabet.

In this case with the starting with letter E, “Estrella del Mar” (means Starfish in Spanish) was voted.

The “canvas” that I have used is very special. It is a natural pine wood plate used for Spanish gastronomy. The wood plate is also handmade in an artisanal way in the northern area of Spain, Galicia.

Nataline Pomar’s Animalphabet: piece E, Estrella del Mar, is a beautiful and inventive work that defies categorization. From the enticingly simple wooden plate on which it is painted to the natural forms that traverse its surface, Animalphabet: piece E, Estrella del Mar is a decidedly organic painting. This biological appearance is enhanced by the total absence of hard edges in the picture. While many paintings are composed of soft circular forms, they tend to be framed by square or rectangular canvases. Pomar completely eschews this geometric restriction by rejecting the tradition of canvas or paper in favor of a circular backdrop. Furthermore, she does not overly embellish the composition and maintains the natural grains of the wood, which enhances the organic sense of the painting.
