This piece I love and I hate. It’s a combination of everything I’ve been teaching myself and learning like a sponge and because of that I had idea after idea that I entangled in it as I worked all week on it. I’ve been trying to learn patience so I’ve been forcing myself to lay some down and work on another, lay some down and come back to it.

The problem is I didn’t stick to my original idea entirely and because of that I feel like it lacks depth or lacks concept.

I spoke to a few creatives today and one told me it’s definitely an improvement from where I was and that I need to practice patience. The other told me that I need to take it easy on myself and not love everything… both feedback I received was hard for me to truly hear because although I do enjoy my work, I don’t need it like but I do need it to evoke emotion and without depth is to be without true emotion. Or so I think…

I did enjoy adding 3D characteristics and the tedious, detailed Charlie Brown Peanuts characters though. That is probably my two favorite parts of this piece.
