Bowl of Red Cherries from "Still life finger exercises"

My favorite fruit ... or one of them. My parents had a small orchard, as boys we would climb the trees, capturing apples, pears, cherries, falling out of the branches, so much fun! And my mother's cherry pies: heaven. She had an old pitting machine that we would crank.

Of course, these cherries are a bit "bigger than life." Then again, so are memories.
