I find it so interesting with how technology has evolved into every aspect of our lives. Everything is pictures. Pictures for ego, pictures for validation, pictures to combat insecurity, pictures for memories, pictures for whatever.

It effects me too for sure, to the point where I’ve been trying to get my teeth perfect for the last 4-5 years since getting sober. I actually hate pictures of myself because of a variety of things but it just makes me uncomfortable for some reason… trying to get better at it or more comfortable rather.

A large reason I always focus on teeth and eyes in my work is because they speak to me for sure but also because teeth and eyes can tell a whole story. They can dictate emotion and I love them for that.

Not sure where I was going with this piece or explanation but I hated this piece at first… having walked by it a bunch today and writing this… I may just like it.

Here’s to being present and comfortable with ourselves, with or without the pictures.
