These are typical of my "small" works. They are 8x8 inch squares with oak frames, oil on wood panels, walnut or birch.

2 of them have been sold, one is still for sale, and one is my favorite painting and I will not sell it. I'm wondering if you can tell which is which? Well, in any case, I really love this "small" form of painting. It reduces the subject area in such a way that we are forced, in a way, to look at a detail that we might otherwise overlook, or see as only a "part" of a whole, yet a very important part. The 8x8 inch space can be as compelling as the 48x90 large-format painting, or photograph. The concentration of attention is key for me. And these are more than just "decorative". They evoke mystery and beauty, both of which my work is all about.

So write to me, if you like, in the comments, about your pick for which you think might be my favorite, and why (which is to say of course why it might be YOUR favoirite :).
