At The Tone The Time Will Be

I know I’ve told this story before, but,it’s one of my favorites.  It’s a great example of perspective, and it was the first time someone made me look at my work in a different way.

A viewer who was looking at the painting, started a conversation with me as I came by-

“I can see the way out.”

“Excuse me?” I replied.

“I see the way out, past the chaos.” And he pointed to the little blue patch in the center of the painting.

“Right there.  That’s the window.”

I cannot look at this painting from any other perspective now.  I only see the little blue window out of the chaos.
