Hollow Vessel

I often draw to think, usually on whatever paper is at hand. Much of the time the process devolves into doodling, but sometimes an image emerges that encourages me to continue drawing. Hollow Vessel began with a red, ballpoint pen on a steno pad. I cropped the drawing to my liking and mounted the paper on piece of white, rag matboard. This allowed me to paint with watercolor and not buckle the paper.
