Crumbs
I was looking at my finished artwork when I realized that some crumbs of dried paint fell on top of it. Hours of work have gone down the drain... Suddenly, I had an urge and started putting paint crumbs all over the painting. It was as if painting was just a surface for crumbs.

M. Mystery Artist’s Crumbs is an abstract expressionist painting composed of a kaleidoscopic display of gestural brushstrokes. The expressionistic passages of bold, brightly hued acrylic are defined by rich impasto that bursts forth from the canvas like waves from a roiling ocean or tumbles gently like rainbow-inflected downpours from a partially clouded sky. These polychromic washes of intense pigment pull in the viewer with a ferocity nearly impossible to resist. It would be a mistake to assume that the wild, frenetic mark-making is inherently chaotic and unintentional. The harmony of the colors (particularly impressive when one considers the multi-hued Crumbs' palette) and the beautiful mixing of the paint can only be achieved by an artist who has mastered their medium.
