Interlude
The most recent "larger" sized piece from me, at 18.25x24 inches, no frame. There is an unfinished frame for it (as I am starting to do with all my works now), and pictured here in the other views are 3 different color selections, if you would browse through them. They are as follows to the right from No Frame ... then Dark Walnut, Red Oak, Natural Oak, and a mock up of what it could be like to put a painting like this in an antique frame. Highly recommend a matte varnish as the finish for all of them.
It seems that I continue to be drawn back to the subjects of the human figure, nature, portraits, or flowers. I also love landscapes and children as subjects. Just can't get away from the beauty or mystery of them.
Here we have what appears to be a metamorphosis in progress, possibly. But I would dare to say simply that we are drawn to light, as surely as the moth to flame. Is it our doom? I wouldn't think so. Houses filled with light are good things, because where there is light, there is no darkness.
