Loneliness

Many of the young Cubans do not see a future on the island and emigrate to other countries to escape the harsh reality in which they live. It is an odyssey to get a plate of food every day, there are no medicines, and there are frequently blackouts. Currently, the few basic necessities that are put up for sale can only be purchased in dollar stores, when the government pays their salaries in Cuban pesos. This has as a consequence that the young population of the country grows up with the idea of emigrating at some point in their adult life, a decision that could sometimes change the course of their lives but that also leaves a lot of uncertainty and sadness for those loved ones who have left behind
