My daughter used to tell stories about a crow named Gok who ate kittens. She would protect the kittens by feeding Gok carrots, which would turn him into a butterfly. After her brother was born, the kittens were forced to stay and protect him, while she went off to defend him in a final fight.

I used a quilt for the substrate because I wanted this series to have a domestic feel as well as a fairy tale aesthetic.
