Moirae
From the post-Italian series. Moirae was the third painting that that followed a journey to Rome, Ravenna, Florence and Orvieto. Moirae, without an abstract element, and was perhaps the most radically different from those that preceded. Clearly influenced by Renaissance paintings found in the museums and cathedrals of Italy, it followed decades of strictly abstract work. The print edition is 50. Moirae is the most figurative of my recent work and has been described as a painting shrouded in mystery. The striped wall is reminiscent of the marble walls of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and the Duomo di Orvieto. iA hand signed, limited edition, art print on fine art paper, edition of 50. size includes a 1 inch, white border for framing.

Thank you Jennifer. I live in an artist's colony called the Brewery. We have artwalks through our spaces twice a year. After finishing what I call the post Italian paintings, of which this is the third, I thought, these will never sell. this painting, sold the night before to the first person that saw it, and was by far the most popular piece in my studio for that artwalk. I'm still learning from it.
