The Crossing

Though it may not seem so, this painting ties back to the pandemic when the fear of catching COVID was on everyone's mind. Here, we have a range of people, both young and old, literally walking on air between two massive rock formations rising above the land and sea below. The people are crossing in both directions, seemingly oblivious that they are hundreds of feet above the trees below. My whole thought was, no matter who you are, sometimes you just need to put yourself out there and take a flying leap of faith that things are going to be all right.
