I completed this piece in 2020. It marks a profound realization for me.. The moment I became aware that I was transgender. It also presents Spiritual messages and lessons I’ve learned. Lessons that allowed me to get to this point.
The piece talks about illusions. The illusions we create in our minds. It talks about judgment, the judgment we put on others as well as on ourselves. It points out gender stereotypes and attempts to portray the isolation and confusion these forced gender beliefs bring about.
It looks at our minds' perceptions and asks people to look inside themselves for true meaning. While depicting a memory from my childhood.
This piece is the first I've created with a moving part and sound.
