The Phantom of the Lake

A friend had taken a picture of his wife standing on the shore of Lake Monroe near Bloomington, IN, a place that harbors many memories of the past, and I in the picture the water appeared like a wall of blue. I wanted to paint my impression, and refigured the figure from the painting and added a phantom in the lake.
