Sociego is the Spanish word for calm. Sociego is part of a series of empty interiors, focussing on silence, and contemplation, and suggesting the questions: What preceded? What follows? What lies just beyond sight. An invitation for the viewer to participate in the narrative. Inspired by the work of 20th century American painters, such as Edward Hopper. After decades of abstraction a continuing movement toward realism.
