fong Fai’s Time 2.4.22 ( Beginning of Spring) is an abstract study of spring that draws the viewer in and inspires a sense of renewal. Spring is the most exciting and joyous season, in this author's opinion. It contains the remnants of winter, the promise of summer, and the possibility of new beginnings. To this day, I still cannot believe the vibrancy and rapidity of spring's transition from the ravages of winter. Time 2.4.22 ( Beginning of Spring)’s gestural, multi-colored, overlapping, exploding, and growing central mass of brushstrokes captures all the naturally-planned chaos, ecstatic rebirth, and excitement of spring. I have often thought that New Years is misplaced and would more appropriately be celebrated when all things start anew at the beginning of spring.
