Ol' Baldy

Ol' Baldy, as it is called, is an iconic lighthouse located on Bald Head Island, near my home. It's a ferry ride away. Bald Head Island is a somewhat remote island and no cars are allowed. Residents and visitors mostly use golf carts and bikes to get around. The Old Baldy Lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse still standing in North Carolina. The island is very beautiful and much of it is still natural. It's like living in another world and there is plenty of "inspiration" to be found for an artist.

This is an acrylic painting on a gallery wrapped canvas. The edges are painted so no frame is required (although one can be added).
