bad apple

This piece was done largely with a palette knife. I wanted to render a still life and ended up with what felt like a fairy tale apple, or the infamous apple in Eden. It seemed important to render spatial distance vis Ruthie V.'s proportional drawing method in her observational painting class at Seattle Arist League.
