Boardwalk Man

This painting was created in 1994, back when I was still doing a combination of airbrush and acrylic brushwork. There are echoes of Magritte's man in the bowler hat but done in my own distinct style and there really isn't any element of surrealism to it. Just a man on a boardwalk, staring out at the sea. It's one of the favorite paintings I've ever done and with its large size, is most commanding when seen in person.
