The Last Tree

I like my paintings to tell stories and often, my titles help to tell that story. In this one, we have a bunch of men in black carrying briefcases, walking on water out to a large rock formation and on top of that sits an enormous tree. Why is it called, "The Last Tree"? And what are these men heading out to do? That's for the viewer to figure out.
