Life Story.
What goes into an interpretation of a painting? We are rarely aware of an artist’s motivation that lead to the creation of the painting. The ideas, memories, and experiences that an artist embeds into the surface of a canvas are often secrets that we never get to learn. Yet, the audience looks at the same painting and sees their own interpretation, which is sometimes opposite to the painter’s one but not less legitimate. The painter on the one hand, the audience on the other, all making their own projections about an artwork that change with time, space, and per person. Paradoxically a finished piece of art becomes an ever evolving living object.
