after de Stäel

This is a loosely after Nicolas de Stäel's Paysage; Fran O'Neil, a teacher at the Seattle Artist League gave us the assignment of putting down a base layer. I used Naples yellow. Then we were to paint in stages and photograph three points of process. I used a palette knife, rag, and brush.
