Beautiful Monsters

In 2011 a series of over 200 tornados tore across the United States. The images of destruction that followed reminded me of the fleeting nature of our lives. Piles of debris became monuments of loss. These delicate drawings document a wide range of locations, storms, and the aftermath. By carefully rendering these images I hoped to create some sort of memorial.
